The MCSA 2015 National Camp, hosted by the EP Section, was held in the western Baviaanskloof from 5 to 13 September 2015.
110 participants took part in the Camp. An exciting array of activities was laid on including classic peak bagging, severe kloofing, moderate and easier walks in open country on the valley floor and in both the Kouga and Baviaanskloof Mts, as well as visits to a number of narrow slot kloofs. Some participants also made use of the mountain biking, horse and 4×4 opportunities on offer during the Camp.
Widespread rain had fallen in the area the week before the Camp but this cleared up just before everyone arrived. During the week of the Camp conditions were mostly sunny and clear, the veldt full of spring flowers and the daytime temperature perfect for enjoying the spectacular environment.
